Rent Your Instrument Today!

(Please refer to our Rent-to-own Program for Band and Full Size Orchestral Instruments for more information on renting a full-size string instrument.)

Most parents agree that it makes sense to rent their children's first few stringed instruments.  This is because, unlike most band instruments, orchestral instruments and even guitars are available in a variety of sizes.

When you take part in our fractional instrument lease program, you can rest assured that your child will be able to move through the sizes with a minumum of fuss, avoiding problems that may arise when a child is forced to learn on an instrument that is too large or too small.

When you lease your instrument through us, you will enjoy:

Fast, Expert Repair Support

Not only is repair service included in the monthly rental fee, but each new or used instrument is carefully prepared for student use in our repair shop.

It has been our experience that many new instruments do not arrive at the store in proper adjustment, so these instruments are final adjusted to exacting standards in our own shop.

Michelsen Music is dedicated to serving Central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from local stores, because we believe that instrument repair service needs to be as fast as possible without sacrificing quality.

A student can't learn on an instrument that doesn't play, and can't practice on an instrument that is in the repair shop.  Your child will never go more than a day without his or her instrument- guaranteed

"(I)t is without reservation, that I recommend Dan's craftsmanship to any musician, who wishes superior repair and restoration to their instrument. His attention to detail and knowledge will increase the precision of the instrument and the quality of your playing."

-John T. Brown, Tenor Saxophone Artist & Instructor, Marshfield, WI

"My son is a music education major at St. Norbert College. We have brought both of his trumpets in for repair and have been very satisfied. One trumpet was never right from the time of purchase from another store. Michelsen repaired it so that it was better than new. We have been very happy."
